Webster and Bennett 48” Diameter Chuck CNC EV Retrofitted by Electron in Aug 2005 with Siemens 840D Control Tool Changer, Swarf Conveyor, Full Surround Guarding, Coolant Pump Serial No. 8008
Max swing 60” Max height under elevating rail 40” Ram type machine with ATC, Swarf Conveyor, Full Surround Guarding, Coolant Pump Main motor 44KW.
In 2005 Electron Engineering undertook- The machine was stripped to component level and totally refurbished including Slideways, Ballscrews, Counterbalance, Table Drive Gearbox and hydraulic system. The Table bearings replaced with new. New; Toolchanger, Guarding, Swarf Conveyor, Coolant & Lubrication System The machine was fitted with a Siemens 840DI Control and all new Siemens Motors & Drives; the Electrical Cabinet, all interface equipment and the machine wiring were all replaced with new
